Cube acts as a semantic layer and caching layer between the warehouse and whatever consumes the data, whether that is a BI tool, a dashboard, or an AI agent. Teams define measures, dimensions, and access rules in YAML, and Cube generates optimized SQL at query time. This gives strong context governance: the AI agent queries the Cube API rather than the raw warehouse, so it can only see what the semantic layer exposes. dbt integration is available for syncing model definitions. There is no built-in evaluation workflow for AI answer accuracy.
